Granny’s Bacon Barley Casserole
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup pearl barley
1/4 cup Granny’s Bacon Drippings
1 envelope onion soup mix
2 2/3 cup of water
1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained
PREPARATION
Saute barley in Granny’s in a medium skillet over medium heat, stirring constantly, until barley is browned. Remove from heat; stir in soup mix, mushrooms and water. Pour into a lightly greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 1 hour. Yield: 6 servings
